Donaire VS Vazquez Jr. Score Results – Obviously Unanimous, But Split Decision?

We have seen the fight of the ‘Filipino FlashNonito Donaire and ‘PapitoWilfredo Vazquez Jr. The Alamodome in San Antonio Texas, United States was filled with action-packed fight of Donaire VS Vazquez Jr. which lead to a Split Decision where it should be Unanimous Decision, as can be seen in the fight.

If you judge the round by round of Donaire VS Vazquez Jr., you can tell that out of 12 rounds, 2 were just to Vazquez, the remaining goes to Donaire. Papito was always in defense mode, and only few rounds when he became aggressive, like around round 7 or 8, then on the 9th round Donaire knocked him down with a left hook.

Despite the knockdown plus the hits and aggressiveness shown by Donaire, one judge gave a 115-112 against Donaire. Was that fair? Never did Vazquez Jr have a chance to get the advantage. Donaire may have injured one of his hands during the battle, but that was no case. It should still be Win by Unanimous Decision, not Split!

This is a controversy. If we can verify the judge’s nationality or something related to that, we can hunch that there’s some cooking to it. There’s a big difference between Split and Unanimous. By Split, there’s even a luck to it why the boxer has won, but in Unanimous, the match is completely in NO MATCH state, which is what Donaire VS Vazquez Jr. really is. I can say Narvaez was way more challenging compared to Vazquez Jr.
