Just this Thursday, we had our annual Visita Iglesia prior to the Holy Week this year 2011. We usually do the tradition every Maundy Thursday. For today, we have visited about 7 churches before we had our dinner on a seafood restaurant. It’s fun to devote at least a day for our creator. It’s like all my problems were gone. Now I’ve been thinking of what I should do for the Good Friday.
I just realized that the Philippines is really a religious country. Whenever it’s Holy Week, they really devote themselves to God. You can see many families going to several churches, and even do the Way of the Cross. On our way home, we have seen many youths and many adults walking to their way to Grotto. Imagine walking 20-25 kilometers distance.
I’m proud to be living on a country where God is still very popular.
