Google Doodle April 12, 2010 – 50th Anniversary of the First Human Spaceflight

Google has a doodle today. It is something related to spaceflight. The picture of the doodle looks old, probably because of what it is celebrating. When you hover over the doodle, you can see “50th Anniversary of the First Human Spaceflight”. In short, Google celebrates the 50th anniversary on the first expedition of humans to the outer space.

Yuri Alekseyevich Gagarin, a Soviet pilot and cosmonaut, was the first person to go about the outer space on April 12, 1961. He became an international celebrity, and was awarded many medals and honors, including Hero of the Soviet Union. Unfortunately, he died in a training jet crash in 1968.

How do you find this Google Doodle today? It’s not cute as the others, but it’s animated with the rocket blasting up to the outer space.
